Free Online Password Generator – Strong, Random & Secure

SuccessMate's free password generator uses your browser's built-in crypto.getRandomValues() API to create truly random, cryptographically secure passwords — the same standard used by professional password managers. Whether you are a student in Delhi, a developer in San Francisco, a freelancer in London, a business owner in Dubai or a consultant in Toronto, you can generate strong passwords instantly without creating an account or installing any software.

Three Modes — Password, Passphrase and PIN

The Password mode generates random character strings from 4 to 128 characters with full control over uppercase, lowercase, numbers, symbols, ambiguous character exclusion and duplicate removal. The Passphrase mode creates memorable word combinations like "Correct-Horse-Battery-42" — proven by NIST 2025 guidelines to be both stronger and easier to remember than complex character passwords. The PIN mode generates clean numeric codes for ATM/device security.

Crack-Time Estimator & Entropy Display

Every generated password shows its entropy in bits and an estimated crack time — from instant to trillions of years — so you can see exactly how strong your password is. A 16-character random password scores over 100 bits of entropy and would take billions of years to crack even with the fastest supercomputers available in 2026. Use this generator to create passwords for Gmail, Instagram, banking apps, Netflix, LinkedIn and every other service you use in India, the USA, UK, Canada, Australia and Germany.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

How long should a secure password be?
At least 12 characters, ideally 16 or more. Every extra character multiplies the difficulty exponentially. A 16-character password with all four character types would take billions of years to crack by brute force.
What is a passphrase?
A passphrase is a sequence of 4–6 random words, such as "Correct-Horse-Battery-42". It is longer than a typical password, far easier to memorise, and mathematically very strong. NIST's 2025 guidelines actively recommend passphrases for human-facing accounts.
Is my password stored or sent to a server?
No. All generation happens entirely in your browser using JavaScript's crypto.getRandomValues() API. Nothing is transmitted to any server. Your passwords never leave your device.
Should I use the same password for multiple sites?
Never. If one site is breached, attackers try leaked credentials on other services — a technique called credential stuffing. Use a unique password per site and manage them with a trusted password manager like Bitwarden (free) or Google Password Manager.
What does "exclude ambiguous characters" mean?
Ambiguous characters are letters and numbers that look similar — 0 (zero) and O (letter), 1 (one) and l (lowercase L) and I (capital i). Excluding them makes typed passwords less error-prone, especially for printed documents like WiFi credentials.
What is entropy and why does it matter?
Entropy measures password unpredictability in bits. Higher entropy = harder to guess. 50 bits is moderate, 80+ is strong, 100+ is excellent. A random 16-character password using all character types achieves around 105 bits of entropy.
