Frequently Asked Questions

What is CPS and how is it treated for income tax?
CPS (Contributory Pension Scheme) is the NPS for state government employees joined after 2004. Your employee 10% contribution qualifies under Section 80CCD(1) within the Rs.1.5L limit of 80C. An additional Rs.50,000 is available under 80CCD(1B). The employer's 10% contribution qualifies under 80CCD(2) โ€” deductible under BOTH old and new regimes. This is a major advantage for CPS employees.
If I chose Old Pension (GPF), can I claim it under 80C?
Yes. GPF (Government Provident Fund) contributions are fully eligible under Section 80C within the Rs.1,50,000 limit. This is a main tax-saving advantage of old pension employees. Our tool auto-fills your GPF amount into the 80C section when you select Old Pension scheme.
Which tax regime is better for AP/TS employees in FY 2026-27?
It depends on your deductions. New Regime gives zero tax up to Rs.12.75L effective (Rs.12L income + Rs.75K standard deduction). If your 80C + 80CCD + HRA exemption + 24(b) total exceeds Rs.3.5-4 lakhs, Old Regime may save more. Our calculator computes both and clearly shows which is better and by exactly how much per year and month.
What is Annexure II and when should I submit it to DDO?
Annexure II is the official income tax working statement submitted to your DDO (Drawing and Disbursing Officer). Submit it every February so your DDO deducts correct TDS from remaining months. Without Annexure II, DDO defaults to New Regime and may over or under-deduct TDS. Our tool generates a ready-to-print Annexure II comparing both regimes.
What are New Regime tax slabs for FY 2026-27?
New Regime slabs (Budget 2025, same for FY 2026-27): Rs.0-4L: Nil, Rs.4-8L: 5%, Rs.8-12L: 10%, Rs.12-16L: 15%, Rs.16-20L: 20%, Rs.20-24L: 25%, above Rs.24L: 30%. Rebate u/s 87A: Zero tax if taxable income Rs.12L or less. Standard deduction: Rs.75,000. Cess: 4%.
What is the current DA for AP, TS and Central govt employees?
AP: 37.31% of Basic Pay (RPS 2022 scale). Telangana: 33.67% of Basic Pay (RPS 2015 scale). Central Govt: 55% of Basic Pay (effective January 2025, revised twice yearly). Our tool pre-fills these rates and lets you override anytime a new GO is issued.

Free Income Tax Software for AP and Telangana Govt Employees — FY 2026-27

SuccessMate's Income Tax Calculator is built specifically for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana government teachers, employees, and pensioners for Financial Year 2026-27 (Assessment Year 2027-28). CPS vs Old Pension — Tax Difference Explained

CPS employees: your 10% monthly contribution goes under 80CCD(1) within 80C. Employer 10% goes under 80CCD(2) — deductible even in New Regime. Old Pension (GPF) employees: your GPF contribution is directly 80C deductible. Our tool automatically routes deductions correctly based on your pension scheme — the first calculator to ask this upfront.

Beats All Competitor Tools

We ask pension scheme first (CPS or GPF), then state (AP/TS/Central), then compute both regimes. DA rates for AP (37.31%), TS (33.67%) and Central Govt (55%) are pre-loaded and updatable. APGLI, TSGLI, GIS, EHF, Professional Tax are all auto-filled from state defaults. The final Annexure II is ready to print and submit to your DDO. Trusted by AP and TS teachers, school assistants, and gazetted officers across the country including those working in the USA, UK, UAE, and Australia managing NRI income from India.
