Visual Cycle Calendar — See All Phases at a Glance

The colour-coded calendar shows all six cycle phases — menstruation (red), follicular (purple), fertile window (green), ovulation (gold), luteal (blue) and PMS (orange) — across a full month view so you can plan ahead for important events, travel or appointments. Navigate months forward and back to see upcoming cycles.

Understanding Your 4 Menstrual Phases

Your cycle has four phases: Menstruation (days 1–5), when the uterine lining sheds; Follicular (days 6–13), when oestrogen rises and energy improves; Ovulation (around day 14), the peak fertility window; and Luteal (days 15–28), when progesterone rises and PMS may occur in the final days. This tool calculates each phase precisely based on your individual cycle length and luteal phase.

6-Cycle Forecast for Planning Ahead

The 6-cycle forecast table shows your next six period dates along with ovulation days and fertile windows so you can plan holidays, medical appointments and important events months in advance. Use the symptom logger to note your daily experiences and build a clearer picture of your cycle patterns over time.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

How accurate is this period tracker?
This uses the standard calendar method based on your average cycle length. It works best for regular cycles (21–35 days). Results can vary due to stress, travel, illness, breastfeeding, PCOS or hormonal changes. It is an informational tool, not a substitute for medical advice.
What is the fertile window?
The fertile window is the 5 days before ovulation plus the day of ovulation — 6 days total. Sperm can survive up to 5 days in the body, which is why the window starts several days before the egg is released. Ovulation is calculated as cycle length minus luteal phase length (default 14 days).
What is the luteal phase?
The luteal phase is the time between ovulation and your next period — typically 12–16 days. Progesterone rises during this phase. If the egg is not fertilised, progesterone drops, triggering menstruation. PMS symptoms typically appear in the last 5–10 days of this phase.
Can I use this to avoid or achieve pregnancy?
This calculator can help you understand your cycle better, but it is NOT a reliable contraceptive method. Natural family planning requires professional guidance, consistent temperature tracking and multiple months of data. Always consult a doctor or gynaecologist for family planning advice.
What if my cycle is irregular?
Enter your average cycle length (add up the last few cycles and divide by the number of cycles). Irregular cycles are common with PCOS, thyroid issues, stress or perimenopause. The predictions will be less accurate but still give a useful range. If your cycle is consistently irregular, consult a gynaecologist.
